YOU WILL HEAR US!

Newham Primary Schools and Whitechapel Gallery
2021

A project working with over 600 students from 12 primary schools across Newham informed by the display at the Whitechapel Gallery, Nalini Malani: Can You Hear Me? 23 September 2020 – 5 September 2021. All sessions took place online.

A workshop exploring change, interconnection, language, drawing and bringing a decolonial lense to making in the classroom. Using key questions to inform making of new works using expanded drawing techniques, language and gifs.

Why is English spoken so widely across the world even though England itself is a very small country?
Do you like the world how it is or would you like to change it?
How would you change something that you think is unfair?
